Fences & Shannon's Birthday

This weekend was a busy one for us. Starting Thursday, a fence was built across the back of our lot. I guess one of the joys of owning a new house includes building a fence, and coordinating/agreeing with your neighbours what style, type, etc. the fence will be. Unfortunately for us our lot spans three lots in the back so we had the potential for three different types of fence. Ryan and I were in no rush to put up a fence but the neighbours in the Beige and Brick houses in the picture wanted fences which would have left a 30 foot gap across the back with no fence; hence we closed the gap. We have yet to do the sides of the fence, that will most likely happen in the Spring. Ryan helped to build the fence around his work schedule and I helped by providing Ryan with a back massage last night as he had "sore muscles" from building (and from hauling away the multiple wheelbarrows of clay-like dirt that came out of the post holes).

Also on the weekend was Shannon's birthday. Nikki and I went downtown and had a lovely dinner at Shannon's new condo and then went Salsa dancing at Ba Ba Luu in Yorkville. It was a very interesting night and to anyone who likes people watching I would totally recommend it! Nikki and I have now decided that we should take Salsa dancing, and will drag Chris & Ryan with us...more on that to come!
