It has been a while...

I am still alive. I've been so super tired still; although the last 4 days my energy has perhaps returned. I'd rather not state that for fear the energy will disappear again. I survived 3 work days in a row with no after-work nap. This is quite the accomplishment. I did however have a 4 hour nap today (and that was after sleeping in until 10:30); I guess that is what long weekends are for. My nausea returned around 14 weeks (I am now 17 weeks) and I'm on prescription meds for it. They help sometimes, but I'm on double doses (all the time for the past 3 weeks). I even have nausea when I get up to pee in the middle of the night, not fun! I'm still off the piece of meat thing, which brings me to our Keg experience. Last long weekend Ryan and I had dinner at the Keg with our friends Johnny and Jen. We had a late dinner so by the time we got there they had run out of prime rib; I had to settle for a filet *sigh*. Last night we thought we'd go on a date (time to get them all in before baby arrives) to the Keg and then to a movie. This time it was an early dinner (6ish) and we were informed due to oven problems their prime rib was only available in medium (or more well done than medium). I'd prefer medium rare but can handle medium. Well my meat came and it was so well done it was dried out. I had to send it back, it was disgusting. So Ryan ate by himself and then I ate a filet by myself. Luckily my dinner was comp-ed so I was a cheap date. I guess we'll have to try the Keg for a third time and *maybe* I'll get my prime rib. Afterwards we went to the Simpsons Movie. It was quite funny.

On another note pregnancy really gets on your nerves. My way of explaining this would be take whatever bothers you normally and times it by about 1000 for when you are pregnant. Some days I wake up in a bad mood and I know I'm just done for the whole day. I can't explain why, I guess it is the hormones. One thing that has been particularly annoying lately is drivers on the 407. Last week a fellow (of what kind of decent I will leave out for fear of sounding racist) got on the 407 at a point where it is 5 lanes. I was cruising comfortably in the third lane from the left. He merged on the highway and cut right over in front of me (going less than 100 km/hr I'd say) to the point where I had to serve to miss hitting him. Please note there were no cars in the 2 right lanes he crossed to get in front of me. Some people just feel it is their right to sit and drive in the passing lane. On another note, please use your cruise control, that is what it is there for. I've seen so many bad drivers on the 407 lately who I pass, then they pass me, then I pass. Keep in mind I'm using cruise control, the others are clearly not. Cruise control helps so you don't vary your speed from 100-130 kms/hr and anywhere in between. It also helps you move with the flow of the traffic you are in. This public service announcement brought to you by...
