So if I were on the Amazing Race I would have hit a roadblock. I seem to be at a "plateau" with my physio. I am now in constant pain again and fear this may lead to time off work if it doesn't get better soon. I have an appointment to discuss this with my family doctor this week. We have a neighbour who is a massage therapist and he says he's not surprised this has happened given that massage was not included in my rehab program. Physio is great while I'm there but 10 minutes after I leave (yes, I timed it) I am in the same amount of pain as before I went. My neighbour also tells me there is no way I could have been done with physio after just 6-12 weeks as I was originally told by the physiotherapist. Then I spoke with my friend Shannon who was in a car accident a few years back. She was t-boned and her therapy program was physio for 12 weeks, 3 times a week, then 12 weeks, twice a week, then 12 weeks, once a week. Her collision was no where near the severity of mine. As my neighbour put it I had a multi-force collision given that I flipped the car so many times, it wasn't like being rear-ended and experiencing a single force. Hopefully my family doctor can offer some insight as to what I can do next. I am still enjoying having to not clean the house though. I must say that even though we came out way ahead, due to my massive insurance payout, I would rather be pain free and have not had the accident then be in the situation I'm in. Oh well such is life I guess.

Katie - "good" physio should include some hands on massage therapy. Since my knee surgery, my good physio guy has done physio, massage, acpuncture and even almost a little of Active Release Techniques (what my chiropractor used to do for my really bad shins a couple of years ago).
If you are unhappy with your current place, I recommend my place in Aurora - Honsberger Physiotherapy

I still go there from my house and it is worth every penny :)
Thanks Shannon I think I'll try them out! I was off of physio last weeek because of my traveling and my back had no pain, then I went back to physio last night and I'm in so much pain now it is unbelieveable! Not fun. I really think it is due to the physio place.
