"Living" in my car

Now that I have started training for my new job I have discovered I will be living in my car for the next year. At least it is a comfortable car and I enjoy driving it. I have acquired a Sony Giga Panel for my car that I am in LOVE with. Everyone should buy one. The faceplate detaches from the car stereo and you plug it in to your computer via a USB cable. From there a file folder pops up on your computer and you can simply drag and drop songs in to the folder and voila – they can now play on your car stereo. It has a 1GB internal memory – and to give you an idea of how many songs this is, last night I went through ALL of Ryan’s music on our computer and put every song that I wanted to listen to in the car on my Giga Panel and it is only 75% full, still room for lots more songs. It also is a normal radio and plays CD/MP3 discs. Now I just need to get the mounting kit, etc. and have Ryan install it, and I’ll have lots to listen to while I “live” in my car.

Remember the days when it was "cool" to have a TAPE player in your car? And how annoying it was to have to guess how far to fast forward until you got to the next song? And then accidentally rewinding b/c the tape in the deck could play either way and you'd inevitably pick the wrong direction?
Ya, these were good times, those were ;)
