White Peaches

2 weeks ago Ryan and I popped in to a No Frills quickly to grab a few things we were out of. I decided to stock up on peaches. Little did I know there is a type of peach that exists that is white on the inside. I let them ripen for a few days and then tried one, one morning. Well let me tell you white peaches are NOTHING like "regular" peaches. I think I ate half of it and then threw it out. Then I had to decide what to do with the 3 remaining peaches; I find it hard to just throw food out. I quick google search for white peach recipes displayed lots of recipes for White Peach Sangria; while useful for next summer this summer I can't enjoy Sangria. I decided yesterday I would turn them in to peach crisp. It turned out wonderful.

Also yesterday was the East Gwillimbury Fall Festival. Ryan entered his homemade chili in the chili contest. He won for best name: Hill Billy Chili. There were lots of vendors, live bands, a small petting zoo for children, it was a great time. Mom came up with Grandpa and got a great deal on mums at the Horticultural Sale. When I walked over there I noticed lots of families of grandparents, parents and small children returning home from the fair. I am looking forward to taking our little one next year.
