Our generally happy baby had a not so happy weekend. Saturday we had the memorial service for my Aunt Laurie who passed away on January 12. Alyssa was great through the service, and the reception afterwards. Many family friends and relatives got to hold her. On the way home Alyssa had a meltdown on the 407. We had to exit the highway to calm her down. She was then cranky all of Saturday night, not sleeping
at all. Sunday I had to go to Walmart to get more diapers, and take her with me since Ryan was working on the basement. She
SCREAMED the entire trip there, and in the store (the can't catch her breath kind of scream). I had to resort to taking her out of her seat and holding her with one hand while pushing the cart with the other hand. She was cranky right up until about midnight last night. The only thing I can think of is that she didn't respond well to everyone handling her at the reception. Our prenatal instructor had warned us of this and this was the most Alyssa had been passed around since being born. Hopefully today is a better day.
