You hire a babysitter and you have to text her to "book" her, and you don't understand her text messages back. I completely still felt "young" and "with it" until we had to hire a babysitter. Now I just feel out of it and old, especially with the "lingo" they use these days.
Another sign I'm getting old? The fact I'm hurting after visiting Wonderland yesterday. Ryan got special tickets through work that were just $20 each, but we had to go yesterday, and unfortunately it was raining. So we waited in lots of lines, in the rain, and got very wet and very cold. We rode the Behemoth, which was so amazing. I am glad we both enjoy rides. We waited for about an hour to ride it, and decided to wait a few minutes longer so we could sit in the very front of the ride. I think now that I survived riding that I can survive anything. Next we went on the Back Lot Stunt Coaster (formerly the Italian Job). This was also a long wait and we weren't expecting it to be a great ride after the Behemoth but we were pleasantly surprised, it was a lot of fun. Then because of the "short line" at the Mighty Canadian Minebuster we decided to go on it. I used to love the ride, it is very large and an old wooden coaster. Well apparently my post car accident neck and back don't like that ride anymore. The whole time we were on it I was praying for it to be over because it was so painful. The final ride we went on was Dragon Fire, which was scary when I was little but is not so scary these days. The scary part was the restraints on the seat we were due to ride in locked up on the riders before us. They had to call a maintenance person to get them out "manually". Then they had to do a test run of the coaster to make sure it was operating ok. We were next to personally test it out. I was quite scared given that the ride goes upside down twice and through a cork screw. I guess the restraints were ok - we survived. So today I'm suffering with a sore back and neck but it was well worth it.
