I had another OB appt on Monday; I am now on to seeing her every 2 weeks. It went well; baby is progressing and growing fine. I asked about its feet getting stuck under my ribs which she confirmed for me based on its position. She suggests lying on my left side when it gets bad. She suggested Zantac for my heartburn, which has been super bad; the Gaviscon my family doctor suggested worked for a few days but now does nothing. The nice thing about Zantac is you can get extra strength and take it preventatively which is what I'm doing now. I also asked about my sore, sore back. My sciatica (sp?) has really been acting up and the pain goes down my right leg right to the tips of my toes. I had a massage last night that really helped so I'm going to try and do that at least once a week.
On Sunday my aunts hosted a family baby shower at my mom's house. It was a wonderful afternoon and great to see everyone. I know a lot of family members had commented it was nice to see everyone they remembered from the wedding and wedding showers (from the "other side" of the family). We got lots of beautiful presents and my excitement over the new addition to our family is growing.
On Saturday I found the material for the baby's room! There is a Fabricland "non stop sale shop" in Bradford that had a discontinued material. Jolly Jumper actually makes a bedding set from a similar fabric. The great thing was I got everything for $24 tax-in; rather than my $25/metre fabric I was considering. Rosemary was nice to volunteer to help us out with the sewing so that is one task I was able to cross off my list of things to do before baby arrives.
Hopefully this weekend the fence will be completed, Ryan has been battling a cold which has put a bit of a delay on the fence's progress...then we can move on to construction of the office downstairs so we can free up space for the nursery. On Sunday Becky, Keith and Kai are visiting Rosemary and Sean's so we are looking forward to seeing them, I don't think we've seen them since they moved to CO. I hope our prices start to come in line with US pricing soon or I'll be traveling to the states to buy everything. There are a number of baby items I'm looking at right now which are so much cheaper in the US and with Buffalo being so close I'm finding it hard to part with our money and purchase in Canada when I know my hard earned money can go so much further in the US.
