Stressed Doggie

Poor Sammy is stressed, or so our groomer thinks. We take her to a wonderful groomer in Newmarket, Pampered Pet, about every 8 weeks. They are fantastic with her (and the lady's favourite breed is Beagles, so that helps). Today she said she couldn't believe how much weight Sam has lost. This could be because Eukanuba recently changed their formula and/or naming of their dog food, making it difficult for us to figure out which "new" food matches her "old" one. I'm thinking the one we got last time maybe is not the same as what we had been feeding her. The solution is to give her a raw egg/day on her food, or some fish (canned, the groomer gave me the type to buy) and she should fatten up nicely. She could also be stressed about our pending arrival. I know she is afraid of many of the toys and baby things we've brought home with us; and she can't cuddle with me while watching tv like she used to (she enjoys lying on my lap which isn't practical right now). So I'm sure she knows something is up, but isn't sure what exactly. Hopefully the eggs and fish will help. Poor Sammy, this is only the beginning!
